Why the Demos are usually Better
It’s raw and unprocessed energy. You weren’t thinking about hitting a certain note or about how the last 90 takes were trash. The only thing you’re thinking about is laying down the idea that you had in your head. You don’t know if it sounds good or bad as the only thing you’re certain of is that you’re excited to hear it.
Save the scratch vocals. They’re always a great reference point and sometimes you can use parts of them with the “better” takes.
