Especially when you’ve listened to so much bad.
I spend a lot of time scouring spotify and soundcloud looking for new music. I come across a lot of talented artists and a lot of not so talented artists. Some of those talented artists potential shines through their music and intrigues me. Those are usually the ones that are great at story telling or have such a unique voice that they are hard to forget.
If you want to be one of those “I was listening to such and such back when they only had 500 followers” type of person, you need to spend a lot of time listening to artists no one has ever heard of. You also need to learn to be okay to have one of those artists become your favorite during the times that people respond with “who!?” when you tell them about the artist.
It’ll form a deep bond with that artist and makes it that much easier to work with them.
